Today’s international friendly between the U.S and Ukraine featured a touching moment of silence to those who lost their lives to Ukraine’s political unrest.
As you can see in the video, there’s not many fans in attendance. At the last minute the match was moved from Kharkiv, Ukraine to Cyprus.
The game has a strange feel to it. The silence, at times, is deafening. There’s no energy from what’s basically a neutral crowd. You can hear players talking to each other, you can hear coaches screaming instructions. All in all, just eerie.
Ukraine currently leads 1-0, midway through the first half.
