David Letterman, arguably the funniest man on TV for two decades, has decided to call it quits in 2015. Letterman will make the announcement tonight on his show. He turns 67 next week.
Letterman has been working in late night for 33 years, 22 with CBS as the Late Show host. Ratings have not been kind to him recently. He’s fallen well behind his peers, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel. Perhaps he sees the writing on the wall or perhaps, well, he’s just been doing it too damn long.
