There may not be a tennis player in the world more exciting than Gael Monfils. Earlier this year, the guy hit a left-handed shot for a winner—he’s not left-handed. His matches are full of crazy winners, drop shots and dives so extraordinary they have to be seen to be believed.
This photo was taken during today’s match against Jan-Lennard Struff. Monfils didn’t win the point but frankly, I’m not sure that matters.

It was so incredible I gave it the “I Believe I Can Fly treatment.”
Monfils went on to win the match in straight sets. If you’re looking for a rooting interest this French Open, um yeah, this guy—if only to see more moments like this.
