Given his size relative to the weight on the bar, I can only assume that this masochistic fitness buff wanted to choke himself out.

Sarcasm aside, I hope this bro thanked his lucky stars and stripes that he survived this incident. He had the safety bars hooked up, but as most of us have learned throughout the years they don’t always work reliably.
