Matthew Stanley is a UK based surfer who recently received the surprise of a lifetime when surfing off of Amble in Northumberland when a baby seal jumped up on his board and went for a ride.
According to the BBC, Stanley and his pal Andrew Flanders, the two were surfing off Britain’s North Sea Coast in Amble when a baby seal showed up, hopped on his board, and proceeded to spend the next hour with them.
Thanks to the marvel that is GoPro, Stanley was able to capture parts of the incredible encounter on video:
