The number 8 overall player in the class of 2016 according to ESPN, Miles Bridges, has narrowed down his field of potential schools to three from five, with Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan State the ones left standing.
Coming out of Huntington Prep in West Virginia (from Flint, Michigan originally), Bridges took off North Carolina and Michigan off his list, saying he didn’t want to waste anyone’s time and that he’s trying to get the recruiting stuff over with.
The 6’7 (and still growing), 225 lbs small forward, ranked number-three for his position, has announced he’ll make his decision on October 3. He visited the Spartans in East Lansing last weekend, visited the Hoosiers in Bloomington back in August and will visit Lexington and see what the Wildcats have to offer this weekend. He planned on making that visit during the Wildcats’ Big Blue Madness festivities on October 16, but his deadline moved that visit.
Bridges made quite a splash this summer at the Nike Peach Jam, averaging 22.8 points and 10 rebounds per game. At 247sports they’re predicting he’ll end up going to Kentucky, with Michigan State as his second choice.
