When the Philadelphia Eagles traded Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams for Sam Bradford, the deal included a clause that would give the Eagles a fourth round draft pick if Bradford’s injury problems would become a concern.
The specifics were number of snaps, but through eight games, Bradford hasn’t missed a single snap for the Eagles, playing in all 549 of them. And with that, a bad trade the Rams made (so far considering how inconsistent Foles has been) turned into a little bit less worse thanks to the draft pick not being given away.
Bradford is completing a career high 62.9% of his throws this season, throwing for 2061 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His passer rating is only 79.5, low even for his standards, but he’s getting sacked a lot less than in the past (4.3%), which miraculously is helping keeping him healthier, although he did take some big shots from the Cowboys just after releasing the ball in the overtime win through his 41-yard connection with Jordan Matthews.
