LeBron James Doesn’t Like Getting Called ‘Bitch’

If rumors and secret NBA player sources are true, LeBron James got angry with Draymond Green for getting called a ‘bitch’ by the Golden State Warriors forward, and as history shows it, the four-time MVP doesn’t like being called that word.

The sources used in the Undefeated article suggest Green called James a bitch, to which James responded by saying he’s a man and father of three kids. Green reacted again, saying he’s still a bitch, and that kinda set the whole thing off.

The Warriors players have made all the hints in the world to suggest James is soft, and that there’s nothing in what Green has said that is beyond the realms of legitimate trash talk. But James doesn’t like hearing that word being directed at him.

Last season, after dunking on Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls, James was hit with a technical, and Noah jumped on the opportunity to call James ‘a bitch’.

After the game, James talked about Noah’s words towards him: I’m a father with three kids. It got very disrespectful. I’m OK with competing against Jo. I love the competitive nature, but we should leave it there. The disrespectful words that he said to me were uncalled for.

Then there’s this moment from the 2011 NBA finals, when Shawn Marion pulled a nice move on James and scored on him, saying the same thing as Noah, only we don’t see an actual response from James. Maybe James not really performing well in the series (lost that game and two more after) is the best answer.

And then there’s this moment from last season’s NBA finals, getting called a ‘pussy a$$ bitch’ by a Warriors fan.

So James clearly doesn’t like being called the B word. But maybe it has more to do with losing? When the Heat (back when James was still there) were beating up the Boston Celtics, James withstood the trash talking of Kevin Garnett, someone who has never known to be gentle against his opponents and especially a rival like James & the Heat. To me, that moment symbolizes better than anything the Heat overcoming the Celtics and James beating a team that has always stood in his way.

Soft, tough, sensitive, it doesn’t matter. The suspension Green got isn’t for his words, but for his actions – hitting James in the groin and then trying to hit him again. Everything else? It all seems to be mind games between the teams, with the Warriors trying especially hard to make James seem like someone who is less than manly on the court.
