NFL Week 3 Power Rankings

Following week 3 in the 2016 NFL season, five teams without a loss top the power rankings: Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens, and in that order. There are three teams without a win, but the Cleveland Browns are the worst of the bunch.

1. Denver Broncos (3-0): In the win over Cincinnati, Trevor Siemian threw Touchdown passes for 41 and 55 yards. Previously, he had just one completion for more than 20 yards.
2. New England Patriots (3-0): The Patriots lead the NFL in rushing yards with 150.7 per game so far this season.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0): The Carson Wentz numbers so far – 103.8 passer rating (7th in the NFL), 64.7% completions, and 5 touchdown passes with 0 interceptions.
4. Minnesota Vikings (3-0): Perfect, despite having the 31st best offense in the league with 265.3 yards per game.
5. Baltimore Ravens (3-0): The Ravens have won their three games by a combined 13 points.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (2-1): Chiefs CB Marcus Peters has 12 interceptions in his first 19 regular season games. Since the NFL-AFL merger, no one has had more than 7 interceptions through their first 19 games.
7. Arizona Cardinals (1-2): Carson Palmer started the loss against the Bills completing 1-of-7 passes, while throwing four interceptions in the final 7 minutes.
8. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1): Ben Roethlisberger was only 12-of-26 for 117 yards and a interception when throwing NOT to Antonio Brown.
9. Oakland Raiders (2-1): After giving up 79 points in the first two weeks, the Raiders held the Titans to just 10 points in week 3.
10. Cincinnati Bengals (1-2): Cincinnati gained 11 yards on eight designed rushes after halftime in the home loss to the Broncos.
11. Carolina Panthers (1-2): The Panthers are ranked outside the top 10 in both point per game and points allowed per game.
12. Green Bay Packers (2-1): The Packers scored just 3 second half points in their win over the Detroit Lions.
13. New York Giants (2-1): Despite their supposedly improved offense, the Giants are scoring just 21 points per game, 22nd in the NFL.
14. Dallas Cowboys (2-1): Ezekiel Elliott’s 274 rushing yards in three games is the second-highest total through a player’s first three games in team history.
15. Los Angeles Rams (2-1): The Rams still have the worst offense in the NFL, averaging 262.7 yards per game.
16. Seattle Seahawks (2-1): Russell Wilson with an MCL sprain is, simply put, terrible news.
17. Atlanta Falcons (2-1): No one has scored more points than the Falcons this season, averaging 34.7 per game.
18. Houston Texans (2-1): In four games against the Patriots, J.J. Watt still hasn’t recorded a sack.
19. New York Jets (1-2): Ryan Fitzpatrick posted a QBR of 5.0 as he threw six interceptions in the loss against the Chiefs.
20. Buffalo Bills (1-2): Bills are ranked last in the NFL in passing yards, but maybe running the ball like they did vs the Cardinals will present the solution.
21. Detroit Lions (1-2): Marvin Jones has been killing it on the long throws from Matthews Stafford. The rest of the team? Not so much.
22. Indianapolis Colts (1-2): Andrew Luck had his 14th career game-winning drive, tied for the 4th-most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2012.
23. Washington Redskins (1-2): The Redskins are number 2 in the NFL in passing yards, but only 29th in yards on the ground.
24. San Diego Chargers (1-2): Despite their losing record, the Chargers are putting up points, 29 per game, 3rd in the NFL.
25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2): No one has given up more points than the Bucs this season, allowing 33.7 points per game.
26. Miami Dolphins (1-2): Ryan Tannehill still leads the team in rushing with 54 through the first three games.
27. San Francisco 49ers (1-2): Blaine Gabbert 68.6 passer rating is 30th among starting quarterbacks.
28. Tennessee Titans (1-2): Marcus Mariota had two picks, two fumbles and only converted two of 12 third downs. His 3.6 QBR was a career low and an NFL low for Week 3.
29. New Orleans Saints (0-3): The Saints lead the NFL in passing yards, but only one team has yielded more points than them.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3): The Jags average only 55 rushing yards per game, 31st in the NFL.
31. Chicago Bears (0-3): The Bears are 30th in the NFL when it comes to defending the run.
32. Cleveland Browns (0-3): Losing in overtime to the Dolphins, by 6 points, is the best the Browns have done this season, and promises Cody Kessler another week at starting QB.
