Another week goes by, and the Dallas Cowboys, with rookie sensations Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, keep on proving to everyone how good of a team they really are. This week, the result is more memes, either praising the Cowboys, or making fun of the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Tony Romo isn’t forgotten, as he’s a side in this too.
But we begin with the positives: The Cowboys winning their fifth in a row, now tied for the second best record in the NFL. The defense continues its bend don’t break tradition, winning big games on the road, with an offensive line that is helping Elliott put up the best numbers in the league, and Prescott makes mistakes but learns from them and doesn’t let them hurt his growing and building momentum.
All this continues to make the whole Tony Romo situation very interesting. Prescott is doing amazing work without very good long-range accuracy or Dez Bryant on the field. Romo should be healthy in three weeks. Should the Cowboys bring him back? He’s probably more capable of doing certain things than Prescott, but if something ain’t broke, why try to ruin it?
And the Packers? Something just isn’t working there. Maybe it’s the play calling, or maybe it’s Aaron Rodgers beginning his decline way earlier than anyone thought it was going to happen. WHatever it is, they look very very far from a team that can make any sort of difference in the NFC.
