The week before Thanksgiving didn’t really change much in the world of college football. It was mostly a setup towards the big finale, while Ohio State kept their chances alive by escaping Michigan State, Louisville lost theirs by getting crushed against HOuston, and Oklahoma are one step closer towards another Big 12 title after a big win over West Virginia.

Chattanooga (8-3) 3  #1 Alabama (11-0) 31: Target practice for Alabama before the Iron Bowl and the SEC title game.

#2 Ohio State (10-1, 7-1) 17  Michigan State (3-8, 1-7) 16: The Spartans could have tied the game, but with 4:41 remaining went for the 2-point conversion and were stopped, rescuing the Buckeyes from one final blow to their playoff hopes. Both Mike Weber and J.T. Barrett ran for over 100 yards, as the Buckeyes continue to hope Penn State lose at some point, so that a win over Michigan will put them in the conference championship game.

Indiana (5-6, 3-5) 10  #3 Michigan (10-1, 7-1) 20: The Wolverines looked bad without their regular quarterback and stuck to the ground game. De’Veon Smith ran for two touchdowns, but in the end, the Hoosiers lack of offensive ability kept the Wolverines in pole position to win their division, as long as they can beat Ohio State.

#4 Clemson (10-1, 7-1) 35  Wake Forest (6-5, 3-4) 13: The Tigers finish the regular season with an easy win in Salem, getting 2 rushing touchdowns each from Deshaun Watson and Wayne Gallman. They don’t know who they’ll be facing in the ACC title game.

#5 Louisville (9-2) 10  Houston (9-2) 36: The Louisville offensive line didn’t show up, Lamar Jackson couldn’t really get anything going, and any hope of making the playoffs evaporated. Tom Herman got another signature win with the Cougars, maybe one of his last before he takes on a bigger job.

Arizona State (5-6, 2-6) 18  #6 Washington (10-1, 7-1) 44: The Huskies bounced back and did what they needed to make sure the Apple cup is the Pac-12 North title game. Jake Browning was shaky, the defense held the Sun Devils to only 15 yards on the ground.

#7 Wisconsin (9-2, 6-2) 49  Purdue (3-8, 1-7) 20: An easy win for the Badgers, getting 2 rushing touchdowns from Bradrick Shaw and leading 28-3 before anything starting working for the Boilermakers. A win in their rivalry game against Minnesota will clinch a spot in the Big Ten title game.

#8 Penn State (9-2, 7-1) 39  Rutgers (2-9, 0-8) 0: The Nittany Lions held Rutgers to less than 90 yards of offense, as they now move into the final game of the season. If they beat Michigan State and Michigan lose to Iowa, Penn State are in the conference title game.

#9 Oklahoma (9-2, 8-0) 56  #14 West Virginia (8-2, 5-2) 28: The famous Mountaineers defense couldn’t cope with the Sooners talent, who now need to beat their state rivals in order to claim a second consecutive Big 12 championship.

#11 Oklahoma State (9-2, 7-1) 31  TCU (5-5, 3-4) 6: It couldn’t have been any worse for the Horned Frogs, not really standing in the way of Mason Rudolph, who threw one touchdown pass and ran for two more. The winner in Bedlam will win the Big 12 as well.

Oregon (4-7, 2-6) 30  #12 Utah (8-3, 5-3) 28: The Utes blow it again late in the season with a division title in sight. This time losing to the worst Oregon team in over a decade, unable to slow down the phenomenal Justin Herbert, throwing 3 touchdown passes and running for another.

#13 USC (8-3, 7-2) 36  UCLA (4-7, 2-6) 14: The 7th straight win for the Trojans, who now need Utah to beat Colorado in their final game of the season in order to win the Pac-12 South.

#22 Washington State (8-3, 7-1) 24  #10 Colorado (9-2, 7-1) 38: A big win for the Buffaloes with five rushing touchdowns, 3 by Sefo Liufau and 2 by Phillip Lindsay. If Colorado beat Utah next week, they’ll face one of the two Washington teams in the Pac-12 title game. A loss, and it’ll be USC playing for the conference championship.

Alabama A&M (4-7) 0  #15 Auburn (8-3) 55: Target practice before Alabama.

#23 Florida (8-2, 6-2) 16  #16 LSU (6-4, 4-3) 10: A game that was delayed to the weather and Florida administrators trying to duck ended with the Gators winning a typical “ugly” game of football, that included a great goal line stand to stop the Tigers and perhaps seal the fate of Ed Orgeron. Florida go to the SEC title game against Alabama for a second straight season.

#17 Florida State (8-3, 5-3) 45  Syracuse (4-7, 2-5) 14: Dalvin Cook ran for 4 touchdowns and Deondre Francois threw for two, as the Seminoles gave one of their best defensive performances in a disappointing season.

Maryland (5-6, 2-6) 7  #18 Nebraska (9-2, 6-2) 28: The Cornhuskers get the job done with 3 rushing touchdowns by Terrell Newby. They need to beat Iowa next week while hope for Wisconsin to drop the ball against Minnesota in order to make the conference title game.

Missouri (3-8, 1-6) 37  #19 Tennessee (8-3, 4-3) 63: A big offensive explosion just to feel good at the end of the year, considering how high the expectations were. Joshua Dobbs threw 3 touchdown passes and ran for two in a huge game, as the Vols have a chance to reach 10 wins for the first time since 2007.

UNLV (4-7, 3-4) 25  #20 Boise State (10-1, 6-1) 42: Jeremy McNichols did all of the work with 4 rushing touchdowns and 206 yards on the ground, as the Broncos had themselves an easy Friday Night of MWC action.

Buffalo (2-9, 1-6) 0  #21 Western Michigan (11-0, 7-0) 38: The Broncos didn’t let the bright lights of college gameday get to them, carrying on with their perfect season in snowy conditions. Zach Terrell impressed once more with 4 touchdown passes, and all that’s left is to beat Toledo to make it to the MAC championship game.

#24 Stanford (8-3, 6-3) 45  California (4-7, 2-6) 31: Christian McCaffrey ran for three touchdowns and 284 yards, but this isn’t the season he and Stanford envisioned. They close out the season against Rice, with another 10-win year on the horizon.

UTSA (5-6), 2-4) 10  #25 Texas A&M (8-3, 5-1) 23: Surprisingly, this was actually the best performance by a Texas school. Texas San Antonio were held to just 48 rushing yards.
