The 3-point barrage of Stephen Curry to break the NBA record for 3’s in one game moved him to 18th all-time in made 3-point field goals. At the pace he’s going, he’ll be in the top by the end of the season, joining the likes or Ray Allen, Reggie Miller and Jason Terry.

10. Chauncey Billups, 1830

Chauncey Billups

Billups, a five-time All-Star and one-time NBA Champion (and Finals MVP) with the Detroit Pistons is a slightly surprising name on this list, but he averaged 1.8 3-point field goals per game through 17 seasons. He was a bit more adventurous as he got older, making up for his inability to score inside. He shot 38.7% from beyond the arc in his career.

9. Joe Johnson, 1846

Joe Johnson

Johnson is one of six active players on this list, currently playing for the Utah Jazz, his 6th NBA stop. He’s shooting an incredible 53.8% from beyond the arc so far this season, but is a more modest 37.3% from three for his career. His career average is 1.6 3-point field goals per game.

8. Kyle Korver, 1900

Kyle Korver

On to Korver, a current Atlanta Hawks player, and 8th most accurate 3-point shooter in NBA history right now, making 42.9% of his attempts. Korver has led the NBA in 3-point percentage three times, including an incredible 53.6% from beyond the arc in 2009-2010, while playing for the Utah Jazz. In the 2004-2005 season he led the NBA in total 3-pointers with 226.

7. Jamal Crawford, 1939

Jamal Crawford Clippers

We move on to another former Hawks player, who is currently in Los Angeles with the Clippers. Crawford shoots a lot of 3’s, although he makes only 34.9% of them for his career. He’s averaging 1.8 3-point field goal made for his career, and is shooting only 25% from beyond the arc so far this season.

6. Vince Carter, 1946

Vince Carter

Carter has just started his 19th NBA season, with a career average of 1.5 three-pointers per game, making 37.3% of them. Carter has had more accurate seasons, with four of them making 40% or more from beyond the arc. He’s shooting only 31.9% since the beginning of the 2014-2015 season.

5. Jason Kidd, 1988

Jason Kidd

A rare thing on this list: A retired player. Kidd left the NBA with just 12 missing from reaching 2000 three-pointers. The future hall of famer and current Bucks head coach shot just 34.9% from three during his career, far from a sharpshooter. He did have a peak time when he returned to the Dallas Mavericks, hitting 41.7% of his 3’s for two seasons after coming back from New Jersey.

4. Paul Pierce, 2128

Paul Pierce Boston

Pierce is enjoying his final season, playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, hoping it gives him another shot at a ring. Into his 19th NBA season, Pierce is averaging 1.6 three-pointers per game for his career, making 36.9% of them. He made at least 100 of them each season for 15 consecutive years, a steak that stopped last season.

3. Jason Terry, 2170

Jason Terry Dallas

Unlike Pierce, Terry has already made an appearance in this NBA season, his 17th, now with the Milwaukee Bucks. Terry is shooting 37.9% for his career from beyond the arc, making 1.7 three-pointers per game. In the mid 00’s when playing for the Mavericks he had 3 consecutive seasons of making 40% of them or better.

2. Reggie Miller, 2560

Reggie Miller

Miller was the 3-point king for a long while until a certain someone blew by him. The for-life Indiana Pacers star averaged 1.8 three-pointers per game during his 18-year career, hitting 39.5% of them. He led the NBA in made 3-point field goals twice, his career best being 229 in 1996-1997.

1. Ray Allen, 2973

ray-allen-milwaukee

It’s going to be a while before someone overtakes Allen at the top spot, and that man will probably be Curry. Allen averaged 2.3 three-pointers per game through 18 NBA seasons, making 40% of them, which is 37th all-time. He led the NBA in made 3-pointers 3 times, including a career best 269 in 2005-2006.
