Standing out among the crop of NBA games on a monday were the Golden State Warriors and the record breaking Stephen Curry, bouncing back from their second loss of the season by beating the pathetic New Orleans Pelicans, still without a win. The Los Angeles Clippers continue to impress, beating the Detroit Pistons by 32 points, and the Oklahoma City Thunder are off to the best 7-game start in franchise history after beating the Miami Heat.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS. NEW ORLEANS PELICANS

Utah Jazz 109  Philadelphia 76ers 84: The Sixers began the season with five games out of six at home. It hasn’t helped them, and they haven’t looked better as time moves forward. Gordon Hayward led the red hot Jazz with 20 points and Rodney Hood scored 18. Jahlil Okafor scored 15 points off the bench for the Sixers.

Houston Rockets 114  Washington Wizards 106: The James Harden wild ride continues with 32 points, 15 assists and 8 turnovers, and getting huge help from Ryan Anderson with five 3-pointers and 23 points. John Wall finished with 21 points and 8 assists for the Wizards, who fall to 1-5 this season, second worst in the East.

Indiana Pacers 100  Charlotte Hornets 122: The Indiana defense continues to struggle, leading to a fourth straight loss on the road. Kemba Walker with 24 points led eight players in double figures, adding 10 assists, all in 25 minutes. C.J. Miles led the struggling Pacers with 23 points off the bench.

Orlando Magic 80  Chicago Bulls 112: The Bulls stop the losing with an impressive performance against the overwhelmed Magic. Taj Gibson dominated the paint with 16 points and 11 boards while Jimmy Butler led the team with 20 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Dwyane Wade also helped out with 16.

Miami Heat 85  Oklahoma City Thunder 97: The Thunder have their best 7-game start in franchise history, led for the first time by someone who isn’t Russell Westbrook. Westbrook had an off night with 14 points on 5-of-16 from the field. Victor Oladipo had 17 and Enes Kanter scored 24 off the bench.

Detroit Pistons 82  Los Angeles Clippers 114: The Clippers continue to impress with just one loss so far, while the Pistons continue to show incredible differences between their home and away games. Chris Paul led the Clippers with 24 points, and Blake Griffin was one assist short of a triple double, scoring 14 and grabbing 10 rebounds.

New Orleans Pelicans 106  Golden State Warriors 116: Stephen Curry blasted another 3-point record by making 13 in one game, more than anyone else in NBA history. He scored 46 points overall to lead the Warriors against a Pelicans team that’s still searching for their first win. Anthony Davis scored 33 points.
