One cool sight/tourist trap in NYC is the Apple Store in midtown because its entryway is covered in a very unique giant glass cube. But yesterday’s winter snowstorm was so bad that it shattered the cube, leading to some beautiful disaster photos.

Sooo.. a snowblower smashed into the Apple Store today. Lol. http://ift.tt/1fY0qBS

Blew up on Instagram and Twitter overnight, showing the damage to the storefront.
Even worse for Apple, each panel that makes up the cube is believed to cost in the neighborhood of $500,000.
So while we may have lost one piece of gaudy and futuristic design, any of us who’ve spent thousands of dollars on Apple products over the last dozen years can take some solace on them having to waste money on something that broke down after just a couple of years. Sweet revenge.
