Don Zimmer dead MLB great Don Zimmer dies at 83

Don Zimmer, a man who has been a part of Major League Baseball for six decades, has died. He was 83-years old.

Zimmer played with the Dodgers, Cubs, Mets, Reds and Senators. He served as manager for the Padres, Red Sox, Rangers and Cubs. He served as a coach for the Expos, Padres, Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, Giants, Rockies and Rays. Point being—Don Zimmer is/was baseball. His fingerprints are all over the league.

Don Zimmer suffered a heart attack in April and never fully recovered.

Many people remember Zimmer for his infamous fight with Pedro Martinez in 2003. The image of Zimmer bull charging Pedro remains one of the greatest yet goofiest things in sports.

Despite his diminutive stature, the man was a giant. Rest in Peace good sir, rest in peace.
