Fan Sleeping Yankees Game ESPN shows Yankees fan sleeping during game and now hes suing everybody

A Yankees fan is none to happy that ESPN showed him catching some shut-eye on national television.trans ESPN shows Yankees fan sleeping during game and now hes suing everybody

The Yankees supporter dozed off during the Sunday Night broadcast of the Red Sox against the Yankees back in April. His photo made the rounds on the internet. He was most likely forgotten about by the world not ten minutes later.

But the man sought revenge. REVENGE! Here’s the story about Rip Van Oversensitive from Deadspin.

The litigious napper’s name is Andrew Rector, and his complaint (which you can read at the bottom of the page) is something else. In it, he alleges that ESPN “opened an unending verbal crusade against the napping plaintiff” when he was put on the air, and that Shulman and Kruk unleashed an “avalanche of disparaging words” against him. According to the complaint, these “disparaging words” included “stupor,” “fatty,” “unintelligent,” and “stupid.”

And here’s where Rector’s case falls apart. ESPN never said any of those things. There is even video to prove as much. Rector is actually referring to the comments made in this post about him sleeping at the game. But there is no money to be made by suing a website.

If you’d like to nap yourself, here’s the full complaint from The Smoking Gun.

Honestly, I’m more embarrassed for the guy eating the chicken fingers.
