I’ll never forget the day I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed and saw my roommate had changed his status to the name of his ex-girlfriend. He meant to search for her name, and bikini pics, but instead changed his status to her name. It stayed that way for about 4 hours.
When he eventually found out the level of shame was almost unbearable. That’s what these moments on social media do to us. Crippling anxiety and shame, at the cost of a like.
