Puerto Escondido is often referred to as ‘Mexican Pipeline’ as it is the site of one of the heaviest and most powerful waves in the world.

Several weeks ago they were hit with a particularly big swell, which in surfing lingo is when the weather aligns correctly and waves get massive.

Brad Domke is well known within the skimboarding world, which as you can imagine is a pretty insular world, so don’t be ashamed if you’ve never heard that name. The 25 year old native Floridian is sponsored by Exile Skimboards, and when news of the impending Puerto Escondido swell reached Brad he contacted Exile with a help request on getting to the Mexican Pipeline, and the rest is history.

Brad’s now credited with having ridden the biggest wave ever on a skimboard, and at one of the scariest, most deadly surf breaks in the world no less. Congrats Brad, you’re a much more brave watermen than myself, I sh*t my pants at the thought of paddling out there on a normal shortboard, a boogeyboard, really anything.
