f1 car infared video red bull Coolest thing youll see today: Video of an F1 race car filmed using an infrared camera

All I can say after watching this video of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 race car being filmed using an infrared camera is why don’t we have like a thousand more videos like this? I could watch them all day.

And since I don’t know jack shit about infrared cameras (hell, spell check caught me writing “infared”), here’s what the video’s description says…

FLIR, an innovation partner with Infiniti Red Bull Racing, had the opportunity to capture some great footage at GAMMA Racing Day 2014. Using a FLIR x6580sc infrared camera, we were able to capture in high speed, the Infiniti Red Bull car’s tires heating up as the driver burned rubber. Other thermal cameras used were the FLIR T650sc and the FLIR B660.

Got it? Cool. Now watch with awe.
