airline leg room Mile Hile Melee Passengers fight mid flight over leg room

Leg room is at a minimum on most flights. Two people fought, literally, over leg room while a plane was in route Denver.

From the New York Post:

A man on a flight from Newark to Denver set up a gadget that wouldn’t let the woman in front of him recline in her seat — and she got so mad she tossed a cup of water in his face, forcing the flight to be diverted.

The mid-air meltdown forced Sunday’s United Airlines Flight 1462 to land in Chicago, where the warring passengers both got the boot.

The entire issue started thanks to a product called the Knee Defender — a gadget that attaches to a tray table and stops the person in the seat in front of a passenger from reclining. The product is actually banned by most airlines since, well, it’s a dick move to use one.

The flight attendant asked the man to remove the gadget, the man said no, and it turned into a WWE match shortly after. The plane was forced to make an unscheduled stop at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and the guy and the water tosser where both met by the cops.
