The weather delay which lasted close to two hours didn’t help the Minnesota Vikings in their third preseason game, but they still won it 20-12, including a fine performance once again from Teddy Bridgewater.
Maybe the best of the 2014 quarterback class, Bridgewater started with some passes that sailed high above their targets but settled into a rhythm later on, which included connecting with Charles Johnson for a touchdown pass.
Bridgewater completed 10-of-14 for 89 yards and has yet to turn the ball over in the preseason. Johnson finished with four catches for 40 yards, while Adrian Peterson didn’t take part in the action once again.
Shaun Hill also threw a touchdown pass (and an interception) while on the other end of the field, Christian Ponder had his return to Minneapolis, greeted with boos by the fans. Ponder started for the Vikings before losing the job to Matt Cassel in 2013 and later to Bridgewater. However, he is the last Vikings quarterback to help the team make the postseason.
