The New Orleans Saints beat the Atlanta Falcons 31-21 to end their undefeated start to the season, with Mark Ingram running for a couple of touchdowns, Drew Brees connecting once with Benjamin Watson and Michael Mauti scoring off a blocked punt.

The name of the game was turnovers in this case. The Falcons fumbled the ball three times and lost it, and were punished for it a number of times. Matt Ryan wasn’t bad, throwing two touchdown passes and for 292 yards, but once again none of them were to Julio Jones, who is clearly not 100%. But the turnovers and the porous defense did the trick, with the Saints getting a glimmer of hope back they can catch up with the Falcons and Carolina Panthers in the NFC South.

Win or loss, the touchdown machine of Devonta Freeman keeps on working. He scored two in this game – one rushing, one receiving touchdown. This puts him at 10 so far this season, with the closest player(s) to him being Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson, both from the Arizona Cardinals. His nine rushing touchdowns alone are more than any other NFL team has on the ground. And to think the Falcons weren’t sure if he’d be starting for them this season.
