Boston Red Sox 5 Toronto Blue Jays 3: David Price was solid against his former team, but Dustin Pedroia with an RBI single and a tie-breaking ground round double did most of the damage in Toronto.
Philadelphia Phillies 2 Chicago Cubs 7: The Cubs win their fifth in a row, getting seven innings from John Lackey, while Ben Zobrist stands out with a three run homer. Catcher Miguel Montero hit his second home run of the season, a solo shot.
Baltimore Orioles 6 Cleveland Indians 4: Chris Tillman managed to drop a four run lead, but thanks to a home run by Hyun Soo Kim to break the tie, his first of the season.
New York Yankees 2 Tampa Bay Rays 1: The Yankees win on Starlin Castro’s two-run homer, holding on with Nathan Eovaldi striking out seven in six, while the bullpen trio of Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman struck out seven batters to finish the job.
St. Louis Cardinals 2 Washington Nationals 10: A rough day for the Cards, giving up three home runs, including a grand slam shot for Jayson Werth in pinch hitting duty. Stephen Strasburg improved to 9-0 this season, giving up one run in six innings.
Cincinnati Reds 4 Milwaukee Brewers 5: The Reds get back to losing, with another big hitting day for Jonathan Lucroy, getting three RBIs, including one off of a triple.
Chicago White Sox 4 Kansas City Royals 5: The White Sox lose for the sixth straight time, letting a 4-2 lead drop from their hands. Lorenzo Cain hit a home run, Brett Eibner walked with the bases loaded and Cheslor Cuthbert completed the comeback with an infield single to score Jarrod Dyson for the win.
Pittsburgh Pirates 2 Texas Rangers 6: Prince Fielder finally hits a home run (his third of the season) and Mitch Moreland added a three-run homer himself to come back from two runs down in an impressive finish by the Rangers.
Houston Astros 8 Los Angeles Angels 6: The Astros keep moving up slowly towards respectability, winning in the 13th winning off of a three run homer by Carlos Correa, pinch hitting for Tony Kemp.
Detroit Tigers 2 Oakland Athletics 4: The Tigers drop below .500 again, as Mike Pelfrey falls to 0-5 this season, Rich Hill is up to 8-3 (striking out nine) and Billy Butler impressed in pinch hitting duty with a two run single to take the lead and hold on to it.
Minnesota Twins 5 Seattle Mariners 4: Weird series that ends in a sweep for the Twins, including another home run for Miguel Sano in a back to back big hit sequence that included Joe Mauer.
San Francisco Giants 8 Colorado Rockies 3: The Giants blast the Rockies with 17 hits, including a home run by Denard Span and 3 RBIs for Hunter Pence, hitting three doubles to score one player each time.
San Diego Padres 3 Arizona Diamondbacks 6: Archie Bradley looked good in seven innings, striking out nine, while Chris Owings hit his second home run of the season and Paul Goldschmidt got two RBIs to build up his number to 32 this season.
Miami Marlins 7 Atlanta Braves 3: Marcell Ozuna hit his 10th home run of the season, Derek Dietrich finished with three hits and four RBIs, including home run number 3 for him this season.
Los Angeles Dodgers 4 New York Mets 2: Dodgers win for the second straight time. Clayton Kershaw looked great in 7.2 innings, giving up four hits (and two runs) while striking out 10, but didn’t get the win. That went to Adam Liberatore despite blowing a lead, all thanks to a two-RBI single by Adrian Gonzalez.
